Macro Photo Therapy

Sometimes you just have to take a break from real life, grab your camera, and take some macro shots of all the pretty plants in your backyard, right? Ok, maybe it's just me. I realized this weekend that taking these nature macro shots is very therapeutic to me. I feel like I am transported to a different world. Then I get to look at them on the computer and crop them and edit them. It's just what I needed after a weekend of being cooped up inside.

Buttercup Raindrop

Random Raindrops

Yellow Raindrop

Bee Macro

As you can tell I am a little obsessed with raindrops. They are just too cool. I threw the bee (I think it is a bee) shot in to add a bit of variety. I am choosing it as my best shot too.

Head over to Tracey's for more Best Shot Monday.

So fresh and vibrant... Just what I need to see on a Monday morning! I really need to get myself a macro lens. I think I'd become addicted too...

Awesome shots, I posted some macros today, too. I only have macro filters though. Someday I'll get a lens. Love, love, love macro.

With a macro lens raindrops are too cool! I think you're right when you get down to that level it does look like a different world. Reminds me of honey I shrunk the kids. ;)

VERY nice macros. I like the one with the drop on the yellow. I'm trying to figure out what' in it.

I like the second one, especially, because I think the raindrops look like eyes, but they're all great!

I love them all but the last one is my fav too!

I know what you mean about photo therapy, lately I have been dreaming of places I want to go and shoot. Soon...

Have a fantastic week Jen!

That bee looks like he is barely hanging on there--like the water drops! These shots are absolutely beautiful. I'm amazed by the reflections within the drops...they are like little worlds of their own.

Love the 2nd shot. It looks like some kind of little creature face.

I also get easily obsessed with the macro shots outside. I love the second one. I need to get myself a spray bottle so I can play with water drops this year.

These are great Jen. Love macro. To get so intimate with nature like that is very peaceful. It always makes me realize how beautiful things are.

oh my goodness - that second on, so gorgeous! All if them really, but that one really speaks to me. I've tried several times in the last few days to go out and photograph the raindrops clinging to tender plants...but without a macro lens, I just can't capture it how I want to.

Beautiful shots, Jen! I think the second is my favorite but they all look beautiful. It really gives a bit of the surreal to nature.
