Tis The Season

I am crazy busy right now. I know most people are this time of year. So I will not be around too much the next couple of weeks, but I did want to show some goodies from last week.

I did not take the time to photograph the gazillion coffee cozies I made last week, but here are a few of my favorites.

I picked up another wholesale gig. She is carrying some of my gadget pouches and beer cozies along with coffee cozies. It was fun to make something besides coffee cozies. This makes the 4th shop locally that is carrying my goodies. How cool is that?

I managed to make a skirt for Harper too. She did wear it on Saturday, but I did not get any good photos.

If I can find a few minutes, I plan to post some kits up in my Etsy shop. I cut out all the pieces to make these ornaments and have not been able to find time to put them together. So I would hate for them to go to waste. Hopefully someone will want them.

Red Bird Ornament Kit

As of right now I have 52 coffee cozies to make, 5 gadget pouches, and 6 beer cozies plus Christmas presents. I am not sure why I do this to myself.

Happy Crafty Tuesday everyone.

DIY Coffee Cozy Kit

Coffee Cozy DIY Kit

I finally put the finishing touches on the coffee cozy kit that has been in progress for months now. The kit includes patterns for a bird, owl, and peacock, a felted wool sweater piece, felt scraps, a pin, embroidery floss, and detailed instructions. It is very basic so it would be perfect for anyone just learning to sew.

Now that I have the kinks worked out I should be able to crank out more with different patterns. I also have plans for a few other kits and supplies, but more on that later.

The kit is now in my Etsy shop if anyone is interested.

Coffee Cozy DIY Kit Instructions

I took your advice and put together some instructions. I still need to finish the last page which explains how to sew the sweater piece to make the cozy. I am looking for feedback. You can click on the photo to make it bigger if you are having a hard time reading the instructions.

Are the instructions clear? Do I need to add more detail?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

Broken Record

I am starting to feel a little bit like a broken record. I don't have anything new and exciting to share this week. I made some more taggie blankets for a friend. I made a custom owl for someone, which I forgot to photograph.

I was able to use some scraps on this one. I liked the different fluffy textures all together.

Then I had a custom order for some coffee cozies.

I am still trying to pull together a DIY kit. I am trying to decide if I need to include instructions. It seems pretty self explanatory to me, but I could be wrong. What do you think?

I have been itching to get some kits together so maybe I will have something more concrete to show you by next week.
