Back from the Beach

 Yikes!  I didn't mean to go missing for nearly 2 weeks.  We were at the beach last week with family, so I am slowly getting back into the swing of things.  Plus school starts back on Thursday.  I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that the kids are going back to school THIS week.

Kentucky Trip

We spent a long weekend in Kentucky with extended family. 

We spent lots of time enjoying the great outdoors.



Miller was happy to have some boys to play with for a change.

Weekend Trip-Asheville

Mitch and I had an adult only weekend getaway to Asheville, NC last weekend.  We haven't been away in several years, so it was nice to have some time with just the two of us.

Asheville has several breweries.

There are tons of cute shops.

We stayed right downtown, so we were able to walk to restaurants and shops.  There were several vegan and vegetarian friendly restaurants, which was very nice for me.

 

There was a drum circle in one of the parks on Friday night.  It was fun to watch all of the different people there to participate. 

If you haven't visited Asheville before, I highly recommend it.

Sunday Snapshot- Spring Break

We had an awesome time visiting Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge with friends.

I didn't take as many photos as I would have liked, but these two are my favorites of all the kiddos.

Minnesota 2011

I tried to pick out some of my favorite shots from our trip to Minnesota. I took tons of photos and it was hard to narrow it down.

Miller loves to go fishing. This was his biggest catch. He was very proud.

We had tons and tons of fun with family. We went on this alpine roller coaster. It was very fast. The kids loved it. I did too.

The only time both of them fell asleep in the car at the same time. Notice they are not sitting next to each other. It worked out better to have them separated.

This eagle really wanted the baby loon that was swimming around in the lake. Mama and Papa Loon kept the baby safe though.

Wow. What a fun vacation.

S'mores and More

We were very happy to finally arrive at the lake. We had a wonderful dinner with family.

After dinner it was back to the lake. It didn't take long for the children to get naked and jump right in. Harper and her cousin are entertaining a pontoon boat that was passing by. I think they liked the show.

Then it was time for s'mores.

I promise I am not going to blog each day of our vacation, but there were too many sweet shots from our first evening in Minnesota.
