52 Weeks of Me- SOOC

I cheated a little bit this week.  I didn't actually take these photos, but I am using them anyways.  I really wanted to crop this one, but I didn't.  So it is definitely SOOC.  I also must add that these were taken with our waterproof point and shoot.  My husband was in the water. 

 

 
I was bummed that this photo was so blurry and I had that crazy look on my face.  At least he caught me jumping though. 

52 Weeks of Me- Behind

Well, behind pretty much sums up how I feel about my 52 Weeks of Me project right now. It also sums up how I feel about this week. We have had a crazy busy week this week and I have been feeling very behind with everything that I need to do. So I decided I would jot down a to do list for the week while I had some free time waiting in the car pick up line. It also meant I had a few spare minutes to snap a photo.

I always feel so much better once I make a list.

52 Weeks of Me- Hands and Negative Space

Since I am so far behind on these, I am having a hard time keeping up with the themes. Here is what I took for hands.

I am so grateful that my little girl still wants to hold my hand.

Here's my attempt at negative space. I really need to make more of an effort to stop and smell the roses.

52 Weeks of Me- I love....

I know I am more than a week behind on my 52 Weeks of Me posts, but I am taking it day by day. Although I have been home from vacation for a week, I am still struggling a bit with getting back into the groove. Plus Harper starts back to school on Friday, so I am trying to wrap my head around the idea of going back to school. This also means only a couple more weeks until Miller starts kindergarten. Yikes.

Harper found this rock while we were hanging out at Lake Superior one day. Can you see the heart? I loved the cute little rock, so I snapped a photo of it.

I love that when we are on vacation it is so much easier to be present with the kids. When we are at home, I feel like there are always things to do and way too many distractions. I guess that is the beauty of vacation. I am trying to soak up the last little bit of summer vacation, so things may be quiet around here for the next couple of weeks. As soon as I find my crafty mojo again, I will be back with some crafty posts.

52 Weeks of Me- Shallow Depth of Field

I actually planned ahead this week and snapped this shot while I was taking some other photos for the blog. I was so glad that I was able to focus on my eyelashes because that was what I was going for, but that clump of hair was driving me crazy. I tried over and over again to get another shot, but this one ended up being the best one. I don't have a 50mm lens, so I used my 35mm 1.8 lens (which I love). I might have to eventually invest in the 50mm lens too now that I have my new camera.

52 Weeks of Me- At Work/Faceless Portrait

I am majorly cheating this week. I am lumping last week's theme (at work) together with this week's theme (faceless portrait). It's all I have though and at least it is better than nothing, right?

52 Weeks of Me- Daily Object

This week's theme is daily object. I couldn't decide between my camera and my phone. Both are lugged around with me wherever I go. So I thought I would just combine the two together. I know everyone was looking forward to seeing more of me, but all you get is my hand this week.

I can't believe we are halfway through this project. I know I haven't participated every week, but I am trying to hang in there. Knowing that we are halfway through helps. : )

52 Weeks of Me-Looking Through

This week's theme is Looking Through. I really wanted to use my underwater camera and get a shot underwater, but we didn't make it to the pool this week. This idea seemed a lot better in my head. Can you tell Bailey was wondering what the heck I was doing? I set the timer and ran out the door. This was the very first shot I took. I tried several times, but this one ended up being the best one.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there, especially my dad, my husband, and my father-in-law.

52 Weeks of Me- Connection

I know I have been lazy about my 52 weeks of me shots. It was cloudy and rainy for a few weeks and I was not able to get the shots I had planned. Then I just never made time to catch up. All of the sudden several weeks had passed. Yikes. Enough excuses though. I am jumping back in this week and hope I can keep it up. I know it shouldn't be too hard, but these self portraits are really hard for me. Usually I wait until the weekend then I am grungy and not photo worthy. I need to try to get photos during the week. Anyways, this week we are doing connection.

I knew that I wanted my husband in the shot. This was not what I envisioned, but ended up being my favorite.

This was what I had in mind, but it lacked something.

I really liked this shot too, but decided to go with the kissing shot instead.

52 Weeks of Me- Week 19

This week's theme is ground level. I did have several shots that were in focus, but for some reason I liked this one the best.

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day. My kids and husband spoiled me with breakfast in bed and tons of sweet cards. The kids had been anticipating Mother's Day all week. Every time I turned around they were working on something for me. It was beyond sweet.

52 Weeks of Me- Week 18

I did not stick with the theme this week. I snapped this shot really quick once I got home from the half marathon this weekend. At this point, my ice bath was calling my name. I just didn't have much time or energy to get much better than this.

The race went better than expected considering I did not really train at all. My hip is sore (actually my whole lower half is pretty sore), but doesn't hurt too badly. At least I can walk : )

I am not sure I am ready to sign up for another one quite yet, but we will see how I feel in a couple of months.

52 Weeks of Me- Week 16

This week our theme was Motion. I had visions of swinging or running, but once again the weekend got away from me. So I snapped this one really fast this morning. I am twirling, eventhough it looks like I am cutting a rug. : )

Miller was watching me like I was crazy.

52 Weeks of Me- Week 15

This week's theme was Out of Focus. I just set my camera on manual focus so that my remote wouldn't try to focus on me and snapped away. We had a beautiful weekend so I enjoyed a few minutes of relaxation on the deck while dinner was cooking away on the grill.

52 Weeks of Me- Week 14

It only made sense to underexpose this week after overexposing last week. I am a day late getting this posted, but at least I finally got around to it, right? We went canoeing yesterday and I was exhausted when we got home.

I don't have anything for Crafty Tuesday this week. I am working on my niece's birthday present so I will definitely have something to show next week.

52 Weeks of Me- Week 13

This week's theme is overexposed. I was hoping that the overexposure of the shot would hide the fact that I have absolutely no makeup on. Maybe I should have overexposed it a little bit more. I debated doing some touch ups in photoshop, but opted to keep it SOOC.

52 Weeks of Me- Week 12

This week we tackled textures. This one really stumped me. I was taking macro shots of some of the beautiful flowers outside, so I had my camera out already. So I snapped a few shots of my flip flops while I lounged on the deck. The only problem is the lens I had on my camera was a 70-300 mm. I had no choice, but to get a really close-up of my unmanicured feet. Then I realized the flip flops have a really nice texture, so I decided to go with it. My best friend gave me these flip flops almost 7 years ago. They are perfectly molded to my feet. Plus the fact that the weather is nice enough to wear flip flops makes me very, very happy.

52 Weeks of me- Week 10 & 11

I was sick last weekend and all last week, so I am playing catch up. Although I did not get my photo taken last weekend, this is what it would have looked like. This was my view for the better part of the week.

This week's theme is silhouette.

52 Weeks of Me- Week 9

This week we are tackling shadows. I kept it simple and of course waited until the absolute last minute. My goal for next week is to get the photo before Sunday evening.

52 Weeks of Me- Week 8

This week's theme is Zero In. I was excited about this week because I thought it was the perfect opportunity to photograph something besides my face. Woohoo. I didn't even have to shower or put on make-up. Instead I dug in the dirt a little bit. I have a head start on my herb garden now. I can't wait for Spring.

52 Weeks of Me- Week 7

This week we are tackling profiles. Today it is 60 degrees and sunny. So I embraced the awesome weather and took this shot while the sun was beating down on my face and wind blowing my hair. The background seemed distracting so I decided to get rid of it for a more dramatic effect. It sure would be nice if this weather stayed around for awhile, but I am not getting my hopes up.
