This week Cara and I chose Summer as our theme.
I love that we both chose water shots that involved our little ones.
This was the photo I was going to use. I love the little gnat on the flower. To me these daylilies are very much a part of summer now. We have a ton of these in our yard and the pop of color makes me happy.
Then my husband set the sprinkler out to water our plants. We use the rain barrel for the vegetables and herbs, but it has been so hot here that everything needed some water. I couldn't resist snapping some photos (79 to be exact) of the kids playing in the sprinkler.

I love that the photo's for the same reasons. The Daylily photo is fabulous, I love the color and the bokeh.

Your lilies look fabulous! I was gone for a week and came home to all of my plants in serious need of tlc. Hubs isn't a green thumb. My girls love it when I put on our sprinklers and they get to run through - it is what I did as well growing up. The pool shot is so refreshing! Great week!

okay, so the diptych is fabulous....but that lily/knat shot....that is money, my friend. I adore it.
The diptych pairing works out perfectly, but it's the capture of the daylily that's catching my eye. Wow! We have those all in our yard too, and this makes me want to go give capturing them another whirl. :)
i especially love the light halo around her head and the expression on her face -- so perfect! a great WATER pair:).
